HELP / BROWSER EDITION
BilisPDF in practice.
Get started
- Choose Merge, Extract, Rotate or Images to PDF. Changing tools clears the selected files.
- Add files using the picker or drag and drop. Reorder with the up/down controls.
- For extraction or rotation, enter all or page ranges such as 1-3,5. Numbers refer to physical pages starting at 1.
- Process the files, then choose Download PDF. Cancel stops the worker without changing original files.
What works here
- Merge PDFs in a user-controlled file order.
- Extract unique, ascending page ranges to a new PDF and rotate selected pages clockwise.
- Combine PNG/JPEG images into a PDF with one centered image per A4 page.
- Signature/extension validation, per-file/total byte limits, bounded page/image sizes.
- Real progress, errors, cancellation, a 30-second worker timeout and explicit result download.
Storage & privacy
Documents and results are held in memory only. No document history, file paths, uploads or telemetry are implemented. The application shell must initially load over the network; an installable offline PWA is not included.
Limits to know
- DOCX/XLSX/PPTX conversion, Explorer integration, Office/LibreOffice, PDF rendering/compression and password-protected PDFs require other tools.
- BMP/TIFF/WebP and other image formats are not accepted by this browser edition.
- Maximum 20 files, 20 MiB each, 50 MiB total, 500 input PDF pages, and 20 megapixels per image.
- PDFs are rewritten into a fresh document; interactive forms, signatures, bookmarks and advanced document features may not be preserved. This is not a PDF sanitizer.
- Worker termination limits execution time, not browser memory. Complex hostile documents can still exhaust a tab before the timeout.
The original application
The original repository remains the reference for native features. Private repositories and their releases require authorized GitHub access.
